A dynamic and transformative cinematic experience that celebrates the intersection of youth, creativity, and storytelling. Since our inception, we have been dedicated to nurturing the passion for cinema among young minds, and fostering a platform that empowers them to engage with diverse narratives and voices from around the world.
Taoba is dedicated to fostering a deep and lasting love for cinema among young audiences. Through immersive workshops, engaging discussions, and carefully curated films, we empower our participants to explore diverse narratives, challenge preconceptions, and engage in meaningful conversations.
From September 25 to 1 October 1, 2023, the festival’s sixth edition captivated around 350 young individuals each day.
The primary festival program showcased 30 short films and 11 feature films from 17 countries, including the Georgian premiere of 9 feature films. Participants had the chance to interact with directors and actors involved in the competition.
As part of the Tbilisi City Celebration, Taoba wrapped up on October 1 with a public concert featuring the Georgian band Mechanical Rainbow in Orbeliani Square.
