Task
During a family celebration, 13-year-old Maya overhears a conversation and learns about her father's illness. To protect themselves or out of inability, the family struggles to talk about it. Amid the festive atmosphere, Maya grapples with the shock on her own. In a party hall, over the course of one evening, Maya will abruptly cross the threshold of childhood, discovering the fragility of adults and her own solitude. How do you seek comfort when you’re afraid to speak?
