One of the highlights of Taoba 2024 is its special program dedicated to Georgian film heritage. In collaboration with the Georgian National Film Center, the festival will present restored classics such as An Unusual Exhibition, Ball and Field, Feola, and The First Swallow. These films hold a special place in Georgian cinema, reflecting the country’s artistic and storytelling traditions.
Screenings will be held at the open-air cinema near the White Bridge, created in partnership with Kutaisi International Airport, offering audiences a nostalgic yet refreshing experience. Additionally, discussions and lectures led by film historians and industry professionals will provide deeper insight into the significance of these films in Georgia’s cultural history.
Through this initiative, Taoba not only pays tribute to past cinematic achievements but also educates and inspires young audiences to appreciate and preserve the country’s film heritage.
